What would we do without Amazon?! Honestly, we would probably save a lot of money and stop fighting with our husbands about why there’s another Amazon package at the front door, haha In all seriousness, I have found some really great Amazon products this year that have made daily life a lot easier. I know you all share my love for Amazon so let’s get to my top 10 favorite Amazon purchases of 2020!
1. Magnetic Baby Proof Lock for Cabinets
These baby proof cabinet locks have been a lifesaver with Landon. He recently started walking, so with that came his love for adventure. He started to open up every cabinet we had, so we knew it was time to baby proof. These magnetic locks require no drilling or any tools. You simply use the 3M tape it comes with to attach the locks to the inside of the cabinet door. It comes with magnetic keys that you slide across the lock from the outside to open the doors. It’s really that simple. We just keep the locks nearby to be able to open the cabinets.
2. To Do List Notepad
You all know I love my to-do lists! I wanted to find a simple notepad that I could write down my daily to-dos on and check them off as I go. I am the type of person that loves to physically check off what I have done, so this notepad was the perfect organization tool for that. It’s $10 for the half-size (5.5″ x 8.5″), but you can also get it in Letter size (8.5″ x 11″) for $15.
3. Reusable Makeup Remover Pads
I used to buy the basic cotton rounds/disposable wipes to take my makeup off every night. After I saw how fast I was going through them, I knew I needed to find another alternative. That’s when I came across these reusable makeup remover pads on Amazon. It comes with 14 reusable pads and a laundry bag. You use the black side to take off your makeup and the white side to apply toner and/or moisturizer. When you’re done, you simply throw them into the laundry bag and into the wash. This product will save you money but also save the environment, so that’s a win-win for me!
4. Silicone & Non-Stick Baking Mats
These silicone and non-stick baking mats have been a great cooking product that I found this year. I love that it’s reusable, and that you don’t need any oil, cooking sprays, or parchment paper. They are also dishwasher safe on the top rack only. It comes in a pack of 2 for $14.
5. Apple AirPods with Charging Case
I think I was a little behind to get on the Apple AirPods train, and now I’m upset I didn’t get these sooner. I honestly was a little skeptical about them due to the price point and couldn’t get myself to spend the money. I bought them when they were on sale for Amazon Prime Day and it’s been one of my favorite purchases for 2020. They don’t fall out of my ear when doing high-impact exercises or running, and they hold a charge for a while. When you take them out of the charging case, they connect immediately to your device. I bought this $5 silicone skin cover to put over the charging case so it doesn’t get scratched.
6. Echo Show 8
This Echo Show was something I never knew I needed. It has so many different uses. Some features I use it for is the weather, news updates, music, cooking timer, video calls with family (you can use the Alexa app or another Echo device), add items to shopping lists, creating calendar events and reminders, and recipes you can cook along with.
7. 6-minute Diary (Gratitude Journal)
I purchased this 6-minute diary to use for the start of 2020. I am the worst at sticking to these types of things because usually it takes too much time and I can’t seem to make it into a routine. What I love about this gratitude journal is it only takes 6 minutes to complete each day (3 minutes in the morning and 3 minutes at night). This journal helps you focus on all the positive things in life and reflect on ways to improve each day. If you are looking to change your mindset in 2021, this is a great place to start. Even on the days I felt defeated, this journal helped me switch my focus to all the little moments that brought happiness to my day that would’ve been overlooked.
8. REVLON Hair Dryer + Volumizer
If you follow me on Instagram then you might be sick of me talking about this Revlon brush, but I promise it’s that good! This styling tool has saved me SO much time. It dries, straightens, and styles my hair all at once.
Tips: Make sure to use a heat protectant and use it when your hair is 80% dry to protect your hair from any damage.
9. Magnetic Dry Erase Menu Board for Fridge
All my type-A people reunite! If you are a planner and rigidly organized like me, then you will love this dry erase menu board. I love that it’s magnetic so you can put it on your fridge. This has made weekly meal planning so much easier. I fill out this menu board at the beginning of the week, this way each day I know exactly what our family is eating. This menu board has helped us use all our food up and lessoned take-out meals since we know what we are eating each day.
10. UV Gel Nail Lamp
If you would’ve told me that in 2020 I would become my own nail salon tech, I’d think you were crazy. But here we are, and I am still going strong 8 months later! Doing my nails at-home has been something I actually enjoyed. It saves me time and money from not having to go to the nail salon. It did take a few messed up mani’s and a lot of practice, but it was worth it! I am now able to do my nails in 30 minutes. My favorite gel nail polish to use is OPI. I buy mine from Walmart and will link everything I use to do my nails at-home below.
