Now that Landon is 2 months old, I can share with you all my most used baby products for Newborns & Up! These products are items that have significantly helped us during this newborn stage and good news: most of them can grow with your child!
Below I’ll go through each item and why we love it. I’ll also list at the end of the post some of my favorite products that have helped with nursing/pumping thus far.
UPPABABY Vista Stroller
This was our stroller choice due to its multiple configurations and the ability to transport up to three children, which will be perfect for our growing family. It initially comes with a bassinet and toddler seat. The second toddler seat, you have to purchase separately. I also love how the bassinet has a ventilated mattress, extendable UPF 50+ canopy, and a bug/rain shield.
Halo Bassinest Swivel Sleeper
Landon honestly hated this bassinet at first and we were worried we would have to try something else. Luckily, after a few weeks of him being born and taking more naps in it, he had no problem falling asleep in it! I have the one that has built-in sounds and vibrations that help soothe him to sleep at night. The number one reason I bought this vs other bassinets was the ability to have it right by my bedside and be able to swivel it onto the bed at night for feedings.
Papablic Baby Bottle Sterilizer
We bought this to sterilize all of Landon’s baby bottles, my pump parts, and pacifiers. We usually sterilize everything at least once a day.
Graco Pack ‘n Play
This has been a must-have for us when traveling. We were able to put him in here for naps and change him while we were at our family’s house for the holidays.
Owlet Sock and Camera
I have the Owlet sock and the camera. They do sell this separately where you can purchase just the sock or the camera. I love that the sock monitor lets us track our baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels, all while streaming HD video and audio to our Owlet App. This has given me so much peace of mind at night knowing it will alert us if his heart rate or oxygen levels are too high or too low. The camera also has a great built-in night vision, so you can see your baby clearly when checking on them. The Owlet sock is washable and comes with 3 different sizes to grow with your child up to 18 months.
Keekaroo Changing Pad
The main reason we bought this changing pad vs the cloth ones were how easy it is to clean up when accidents happen. It saves you so much time on laundry not having to change the cloths!
Baby Bjorn Bouncer
This bouncer we were only able to use once he was 8lbs. He loves just sitting in this and it helps him for after feedings with acid reflux by having him sit more upright. I know he will grow into loving this a lot more once he has a higher body weight to move the bouncer on his own.
Dr. Brown Anti-colic bottles
Landon was diagnosed with colic so these bottles were so helpful! They help prevent the ingestion of air bubbles and imitates the natural flow of milk from the breast, which helps reduce spit-up, burping, and gas. I think these would be great even if your baby doesn’t have colic to help prevent the symptoms above.
Hatch Sound Machine
We use this sound machine every single day for naps and at night for sleep. I love how you can change the different sounds, light, and volume right from your phone. This is a product that can grow with your child and even has a time-to rise indicator!
Portable Sound Machines
Portable sound machines are every parent MUST have. These are perfect to bring with you on any outing. Both of these portable sound machines help soothe Landon when he is fussy in public.
Dr. Brown Bottle Warmer
This heats up all of our bottles within minutes and is so easy to use/clean.
Freshly Picked Diaper Bag
I am obsessed with this diaper bag! I bought this one in particular for a couple of reasons. I love how stylish/sleek it looks and that it can be worn in multiple ways: as a shoulder purse, backpack, or cross-body bag. It is very roomy with multiple compartments to hold all your baby supplies. The interior and exterior are wipeable and spill-resistant, which is perfect for when accidents happen. It has an insulated compartment where you can store a bottle with an ice pack for when you are on the go. Plus it has another compartment that comes WITH a nylon changing pad.
Boppy Baby Carrier
I love this baby carrier because of how comfortable the fabric is and it’s UPF 50+. It’s one of the few carriers I found that fits my petite frame without feeling overpowering. It’s also super easy to put on and take off!
My Brest Friend Pillow
This was a lifesaver for breastfeeding. It helps my posture and makes sure Landon isn’t able to roll around during feedings.
HALO Sleepsack
Landon slept so well in this sleepsack from day one. What’s different about this swaddle is that it’s adjustable and can be swaddled depending on your baby’s sleep style. It can be safely wrapped so your baby has both arms in, gives room if they like hands-to-face, or one/both arms out. Another plus – it has an inverted zipper making diaper changes easy so you don’t have to unswaddle your baby.
DockATot
We use this all the time to put Landon in when he just wants lounge/rest. I love that it’s lightweight + portable because it’s so easy to bring with us when we travel to our families/friends’ houses. Landon already has had multiple accidents in it and it’s held up really well in the wash. ** Disclaimer: he only naps in this when he is supervised by Dan or I.
Skip Hop Activity Gym
We didn’t use this right away, to be honest, but after the first month, we used it a lot for tummy time and play. I love how it has a soft pillow for tummy time and includes multiple toys to use for developmental activities.
Fisher-Price Baby Swing
We purchased this swing well after he was a month old to help with his fussiness/colic. By no means has it cured any of that, but it definitely helped him get more tired so he doesn’t cry as much. This swing also has built-in sounds, music, and mobile that turns on its own. This one is so affordable considering all the features it comes with and gets the job done!
Munchkin Bottle Drying Rack
I love this drying rack due to the high capacity of bottles/accessories it can hold (up to 16 bottles). You can also adjust this rack to fit various bottle sizes and it’s dishwasher-safe on the top rack only.
Angelcare Baby Bath Seat
This bath seat is perfect for newborns and grows with your baby’s size. It can be used from 0 to 6 months old. I like how it’s lightweight and is made with drain holes that allow the water to be rinsed away easily. It also has a built-in hook that makes it easy to hang/store. We bought these Command hooks to hang it up on our shower wall.
Scalp Scrubbie
This came in SO handy when Landon started to get symptoms of cradle cap (flaky skin). We saw a difference in less than a week and he no longer shows any signs of it. As a preventative, we continue to use it on his scalp daily in the shower. We massage his scalp with baby shampoo and then use the scrub.
Sleep and Play Zipper Pajamas
Pajamas with zippers are a must-have! The zippers make it so easy to change your baby. It’s a huge help during nighttime changes when you are half asleep and don’t want to sit there and fasten multiple buttons.
Soothie Pacifiers
Landon loves these pacifiers.
That’s a wrap for my top baby products! These products helped us from Landon’s birth until now. Disclaimer: Every baby is different and some will react differently to certain products. I just wanted to share what worked for us, in hopes it can help other families out there too!
