It’s that time of year again when all the packages from Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be arriving at your doorstep. If you are like me and used those deals to finish your holiday shopping, then you will be seeing delivery drivers quite a few times at your address! There’s no questioning that 2020 has been a hard year for all of us. Along with social distancing, It’s made us shop online more than ever for our safety. With that being said, our delivery drivers will have even more deliveries this year. They will be working overtime to ensure our packages arrive in time for the holidays. I knew I needed to come up with something to show my appreciation for them, especially during this crazy year. That’s when I decided to create a Delivery Driver Thank You Snack Basket for the holidays!
I created a thank you note for our delivery drivers on Canva and filled a basket with snacks and water they could take back on the road with them. It’s a little way to let them know that we appreciate all the hard work and extra hours they will be putting in this season. I’ll share a step-by-step below on how I made the snack basket for the delivery drivers.
Step-by-Step: How to Make Your Own Holiday Thank You Snack Basket
1. Print out the Thank You Sign Printable
I included a similar Thank You sign I made below. All you have to do is click on the graphic, download it and print it out! If you want to make your own, I used Canva, which is a great program/app to create all kinds of templates and graphics for posters, cards, social media posts, etc.

2. Gather Snacks and Beverages
For the snacks, we bought anything that came in individual packs. Sam’s club and Costco are great places to shop for these items in bulk to refill. Below are snack and beverage ideas to include in your baskets.
Snack Ideas:
- Granola Bars
- Protein Bars
- Chips (stores sell the chip variety packs, which would be perfect)
- Cookies ( i.e. Little Debbies, Chips Ahoy)
- Fruit Snacks
- Pop-Tarts
- Pretzels
- Crackers ( i.e. Lance Crackers )
- Full-size Candy Bars
- Nut Packs
- Beef Jerky Sticks ( i.e. Chomps and Slim Jims)
Beverage Ideas:
- Water Bottles
- Gatorade
- Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino Drinks
- Other Bottled Coffee Beverages
- Juice Boxes
- Cans of Soda (make sure your temps are not below freezing when keeping the cans outside!)
Our weather this week has been quite chilly, so I didn’t have to worry about the drinks being too hot. If it’s warmer where you are, you can just store it in a cooler outside. I would just make sure to label where the drinks are located so they are easy to find.
Exact Items we Used:
- Nature Valley Granola Bars
- Nature Valley Protein Bars
- Belvita Breakfast Biscuits
- A mixed bag of Chips (Lays, Cheetos, Doritos)
- Lance Whole Grain Cheddar Cheese Crackers
- Plastic Spring Water Bottles
3. Assemble the Basket
I just used a basket I had on hand that I wasn’t currently using. You can use any size basket, bin, or cooler you have! I assembled the basket and put it on top of a small table by our front door to make sure it was visible and easily accessible. I leave the snack basket out for the day and then make sure to bring it in at night so critters don’t get into the food and drinks.
But there you have it! Now you have a holiday snack basket ready to go for the delivery drivers to enjoy. It’s been so nice to watch them take a snack or two for the road. This is something I will be doing every year!
