I am SO happy to finally be able to share with you all the final product of the nursery. Hands down, creating this little babe’s gender neutral nursery has been my favorite project to date! I remember right when I got pregnant I started pinning all the inspo to come up with a design plan for what I wanted the nursery to look like. It’s so surreal that it all finally came to life and I am really excited for how it turned out.
I knew I wanted to do a gender neutral nursery, so this way we wouldn’t have to change the decor up much for baby #2. As far as the theme goes, I went with a bright and airy finish with various design accents here and there (i.e. herringbone wallpaper, star printed sheets, patterned area rug) to add a little pop.
My favorite part of the room is this little reading corner. I found this “Once Upon a Time” sign from an Etsy Shop and bought these shelves to hold the books to make a mini library. The side table next to the recliner was a must have, because I knew I would need something to hold my nursing supplies, water, baby items, etc. After researching a ton of different recliners, we decided on the Babyletto Kiwi Power Recliner Glider. I chose this one because it’s a power recliner, it’s super comfortable and I love that it has a USB port.
For the drawers, I decided to separate the clothing that we didn’t hang into sections using these drawer dividers and drawer organizers. I then used a label maker to label each section. I know I will be going through a lot of clothes, so having the labels will make it easier to know where to replenish it all.
I bought this cube organizer to put into the baby’s closet. This organizer has been a huge help to store all the items we have. I used the label maker again to label some of the bins so I knew where to put everything. For instance, I have a “For the Mom” bin I created with all of my nursing supplies. The other bins are labeled as such:
- Pacifiers/Teethers – We bought various pacifiers since we were unsure what kind he would like, so this bin was perfect to store all of them
- Accessories – Here I put all of his booties, little bowties, etc.
- Toys/Books – I used this bin to store all of the extra books we received and baby’s toys for when he gets a little older
- Baby Gear – Here I stored various baby gear we aren’t going to be using until baby’s arrival (i.e. white noise sound machine, stroller fan, etc.)
- Medical – In this bin I put the thermometers, Frida baby products, medicine, and other medical supplies
- Bath – The bath bin contains all of his bath toys, shampoos, lotions, bodywash, etc.
- Feeding – Here I stored all the different bottles we received, placemats, silicone bibs, etc.
To separate all the clothes, I used this size divider set that has sizes from newborn all the way to toddler. This is a closet must have for sure! It not only helped organize all the clothing, but it helped us actually see how many sizes we already had and what we needed to get more of.
And that is a wrap of the nursery! I hope this was helpful and gave you all some ideas for your future nursery project. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. Thank you all for following along on this exciting journey!

Love this room! You did an amazing job at putting it together. Where is the rug from? It looks like it could be a play foam mat.
