What You Need to Know About The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

The biggest sale of the year starts next week so I wanted to make sure I created a post with all the information you need from what the sale entails to all the how-to’s to easily shop it! I use this sale to stock up on all my fall essentials, boots, make-up, and gifts throughout the year (i.e. Christmas, birthdays, etc). So let’s get started on what this sale is all about…

WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?

For only a few weeks each summer, Nordstrom offers BRAND NEW arrivals (for both summer and fall) at sale prices for a limited time.

SAVE THE DATES

• EARLY ACCESS begins on July 12th 12:30 PM EST. Early Access is only for Nordstrom cardholders. When you are a cardholder you will get to shop the Anniversary Sale a full week before it opens to the public. This will give you a huge shopping advantage to be able to buy the items you want before the sale goes public because that is when things sell out fast!
• Don’t have a Nordstrom card? You can apply for a Nordstrom Credit Card here. The card does not have any annual fees plus you get reward points every time you shop. Also, the Nordstrom retail card can be used at Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club.
• PUBLIC ACCESS begins on July 19th at 12:30 PM EST and goes through August 4th. ** Nordstrom historically restocks items that have sold out during the Early Access window, so be sure to keep an eye out!

TIPS ON SHOPPING THE NSALE

• Shop as early as possible because a lot of items will sell out fast! If you have a Nordstrom Card – you get free shipping + rewards!
• If you are a Nordstrom Card Holder, schedule your double or triple points days for the day you are doing most of your shopping!
• If you are unsure about how an item will fit – buy multiple sizes! The best part about shopping at Nordstrom is that they offer free returns!
• Set a budget! It’s so easy to spend way more than you need to on this sale because there are a lot of great sale items.
• Make a list of items you need. Having a game plan of what items I’m really looking to add to my wardrobe not only makes shopping the sale easier but it helps me stick to my budget!
• When in doubt – stick to the basics. If you are on a tight budget or really not sure what to buy, then stick with basic clothing items: long sleeve shirts, t-shirts, camis, cardigans, jeans, etc. These are items you will definitely wear year after year and get the most use out of.

This sale features all new arrivals for fall, so I usually stock up on a bunch of fall items and accessories. I also use this sale to stock up on new basics (i.e. t-shirts, cardigans, sweaters, jeans, etc.)
