Happy Sunday! I wanted to share with you all our living room update! We were on the hunt for a new couch since the one we had was 5-6 years old and was getting worn. After we found a cozy 2-piece sectional, we decided to buy other new additions to the living room…cue a new side table, rug, and decor. All the details for what’s in our living room is below!
2-piece Sectional
This 2-piece sectional with a chaise was the perfect addition to our living room. It was my first time buying a couch that had a chaise and let me tell you – BEST DECISION EVER. It makes a perfect spot to lay down in the morning with a cup of coffee. This sectional is from American Signature Furniture and comes in 3 different colors.
Arched Lamp
We decided on this arched lamp instead of doing two lamps on the side tables like we had before. This definitely helped make our room feel bigger and less cluttered since we have a small space. We found this one on Wayfair and it was under $85.
Decorative Throw Pillows
I always find so many of my throw pillows from Target. They have a big selection both in store and online of all different styles, patterns, and colors to choose from. With already having a lot of dark features in the house (the grey couch, wood floors) I felt that the beige colored pillows would be perfect to brighten up the room.
Washable Area Rug
This 5×7 area rug had to be one of my favorite finds from this whole room update! I have been looking for awhile for a rug that you can throw into your washing machine. Due to having our dog, Lola, there is no way we could get a regular area rug since it would easily get destroyed with any type of accident. The rug comes with two parts: the top cover and then a velcro-like pad that attaches. The Ruggable top cover is 100% waterproof, stain resistant and machine washable. You can easily clean both the cover and the pad and rinse away stains and odors! There is a bunch of different patterns and sizes to choose from on their website too. These are more expensive than your average area rug, but if you need a rug that can be machine washed, then this is worth every penny!
Gold Side Tables
These metal and glass side tables from Target were a great addition to the room. I went for the round table style to help make the room feel more open and give us more space. It was very easy to put together and the gold metal is great quality and does not look cheap. They were very affordable for side tables at $75 each.
Tufted Ottoman/Coffee Table
This ottoman/coffee table is not something we recently purchased but I wanted to share it incase you were searching for a new coffee table. I love how sophisticated and versatile this piece of furniture is. It has a large padded surface area that you can use as a comfortable footrest, while the spacious lower shelf provides plenty of storage space to hold any baskets or books.
Oversized Wall Clock
This oversized wall clock is also not a new purchase, but its another one of my favorite purchases I made for this room. It is made up of metal and has large roman numerals that bring a classic/farmhouse feel to the room. If you are looking for a statement piece for an empty wall in your living room or bedroom then this is perfect. It’s very quiet and good quality for the price. (currently on sale for $67)
